Oh well....just checked Sudio 4.11, it's the service pack is smaller...time to get Broadband I think.

There are 5 dies with 7 leds each. When you 'roll' the dice the leds pattern changes. It is obviously using 'Charlieplexing'. I don't really want to measure all the connection...

Are you measuring the current to the chip itself ? (a series regulator would take up some current) What voltage are you running the chip at?

How to see used memory in AVRStudio 4.11
From your list ( .lst) file. It gets generated at assembly or compile time and it shows pretty much what happens with your memory.
