hello! 

 

i need help please! how can i port the Serial bridge application for winc1500 to update the firmware! i use an STM32f407

Here the steps:
- download the ASF package here: http://www.microchip.com/...ftware-framework-(asf)
- extract the tools and all subfolders from common/components/wifi/winc1500/firmware_update_project/firmware
- put all the tools (with their paths) in a high level folder (e.g. c:\firmware); the folder must not have spaces in its name
- connect a serial to USB converter to your PC and to the WiFi module (please note: for me this was the critical step: I used an integrated serial port and a Prolific converter and it didn't work; when I switched to an FTDI converter it all went good)
- be sure you have the converter drivers and that the serial port is present in Devices manager
- run a command prompt with administrator privileges
- set the folder where you put all the tools as the current folder
- run "download_all.bat UART SAMD21 3A0 0 0" (with no quotes)
- wait for the tool to finish

I'm not sure that all of the above steps are needed, I just described the steps I followed in order to get the job done.
If you want I can post the tool output, or I can attach the tools extracted from the ASF package; just let me know if you need them.
