Ok, unsuccessfully upgrading the raven firmware using the Wireless Services Program, Didn't I read somewhere you could restore the original program by shorting a couple pins and turning it on? All I find now is instructions to solder the little headers on so I can connect my JTAG. ( I have ISP, so I use the two 6 pin headers 'stead of the 10?)

I don't think you can restore original firmware just by setting some jumper.

And for the connector I personally would recommend soldering good old PLD connector on wires. This little connector makes a lot of really unnecessary pain.

Na, it restored from that 16Mb "System Dataflash..." I must have dreamed it.

Ok, on the 3290 ISP connector, I find gnd and vcc on pins 6 and 2 like you'd expect, but not on the 1284 ISP connector.

(Don't you just love docs that don't match the hardware?)

Don't know about 3290, but 1284 ISP connector should be standard. Like regular 10-pin connector but shrinked down in size.

Although I even don't bother to understand Raven's hardware. It completely messed up.

The restore trick is to connect pin's 8 and 9 and turn the raven on, but it too seems not to work....

Ok. I got my 1284 processor reflashed. Even that had a couple hangups. On the 1284 ISP connector, the + and - pins aren't connected.

Also, the raven runs batteries down very fast, even my AA's. I had to apply external power to get enough volts for my ISP to work.

Anyhow, my raven again talks... "nevermore."
