nonvolatile GPNVM bits are missing in AS7

The SAM devices have a 9-bit EEPROM register for setting the IC.  A bug in AS7 allows only entering 8-bits in the GPNVM window, not 9.  Secondly, the two tightly coupled memory bits are missing in the status window. Has anyone observed this? Should I create a ticket with Atmel support?

Hi!

I know this "lacking bit thing". My luck that I hadn't have to set bit 8 yet... (currently, my AS7 can not change TCM cfg. bits. :P )

I haven't seen that they cared about this problem. (They did not for much more critical ones as well.) I don't know if the programmer is unable to set bits over 8 or just the software misses the proper code.

Check and set the bits by software using EEFC in the reset handler. Apply a new reset after setting them and your program can start with the proper TCM configuration.

Works fine in Atmel Studio 7.0.1645.  What version are you using?

Exactly that one. smiley  The programmer/debugger Atmel-ICE has fw. version 1.27 installed on it. ("Hardware version 0", whatever it means...)
