Neopixels on SAM D21 Xplained Pro

Hi all,

 

I have a string of SK6812 LEDs (similar to Neopixels).  I'm looking for a simple example (preferably in C to play nice with ASF) to drive these LEDs.  So far, I've found a number of posts here on examples for AVR and Arduino based solutions, but not as much on ARM based.  I've looked at a number of libraries (Neopixel, FastLED, etc) but have been having issues converting from an Arduino library to an AS7 project for the SAM D21 Xplained Pro.

 

Any help on the best path forward would be appreciated.

Be careful. Many of those "like Neopixel" things use different data encodings.

Your best bet is to go to adafruit and see what they have for example code

Hi Matt,

I am also looking for some code to control the Neopixels with an SAM D21. Did you already found something? I've just started. Do you already know which pins have to be used on the SAM D21? This is important for me right now as I am designing the hardware.

I also work with ASF and Atmel Studio 7.0.

I have a lot of code for the SAM4S and some for the SAM D21 and SAMC21. Maybe we can share something, just ask.
