Hi,

I am trying to use Atmel Studio 7 and Atmel ICE, rather than Arduino/USB to program the Arduino Due.
 - Here, I have build failed but no errors. I found other threads, but could not find a solution. Verbosity was mentioned, I checked the verbose box in "toolchain".
 - In "Project properties" --> "Tools" I have tried both "SWD" and JTAG".

Here are pictures of:

 - project settings, code, build...

 - project settings

I also attached pics of how things are plugged. Even though error being at build time it is likely not relevant. It is worth mentioning I am using windows from parallel on a mac. I can run a blink example sketch on Arduino IDE, from this windows VM. But importing the same sketch in Atmel Studio, produce the same Build Error with no error shown result...

All right. Solution.
As mentioned in another post,

 - right click on the file and compile it independently. Errors will display.

In my case, access error. This is due to parallel desktop mapping project to some subfolder of the mac home by default, changing the project location to a subfolder of C:\users\{current_user}\ solved the problem. This is a bit tricky as the when file dialog show "This PC" or "My Documents" it is actually mapped under mac os home folder. You need to explicitly right the full path starting with "C:\".
