Am using SAM E70 XPLAINED dev board.
Am currently working on lwIP web server implementation.

Everything seemed to work great till last day.
Today, when I powered on the board, my PC failed to detect the board.
It is not getting detected in device manager as well.

When I shorted the erase jumper(J200), surprisingly, the board got detected. But sadly, it was detected as "Bossa Program Port". I can't program the board as well.

What am I supposed to do?

I haven't done anything to the bootloader.

How can I get the board back working?

I really need some help.

Hi,

Are you using Atmel Studio or something else?

Are you 100% sure you are using the same USB port?

For normal programming you should use the connector marked DEBUG, not TARGET. **check this **.

The DEBUG connector connects to the embedded programmer on-board, which is normally what you want.

The TARGET connector connects to the SAME70 chip. You should only be able to 'talk' SAM-BA there. SAM-BA is the protocol used bij the BOSSA program.

To verify, connect a serial terminal program to the port at 115200 baud, 8 data bits, 1 stop bit, no parity (8N1). Type the two characters 'V#'. If you get a human-readable reply with a version number,  you are indeed talking to a SAM-BA port.

Strange, but the board seems to work now.

I really don't know what happened.
Now it is working fine.

It is getting detected as virtual comm port.

Wondering what is happening with the board!!!
