Atmel START configurator in Microchip Studio crashes when generating project.

Pretty much the title; when I try to re-configure something in START within Microchip Studio, all of Microchip Studio crashes after pressing the 'generate project' button. No changes are saved, and I really can't *do* anything.

Is there a fix for this, or alternatively, is there some sort of template or guide that allows me to program a SAMD51 with bare metal / CMSIS? Right now I'm stuck on a clock problem, and I can't even find what the errata is telling me to change. This is truly awful.
