I worked on a project which used ATmega644(MCU) and NRF24L01+(tranceiver) to achieve the wireless transmission.

Now I am thinking using Atmel's wireless device to do the wireless transmission and make an comparison with what I had done before.

Because currently I have an STK-600 on my hand so I am thinking about using ATmega128RFA1-EK1 to perform my work.

I would much appreciate if someone can provide me some advices or the sample code for triggering ATmega128RFA1.

I also have a quesion like what kind of software should I use to program Atmega128RFA1 ?

You will need to have Atmel Studio installed, which you probably already have.

The start with Lightweight Mesh stack, it is much easier to use than ZigBee stack (BitCloud).

No, you don't need anything except for AS.
