Hello,

currently I have some issues with applying SERCOM5 to the SAMD21. When building the error list claims that SERCOM5 is undeclared while it shows that it is declared in other files.

Is anyone familiar with this problem?

This topic has a solution.

Which SAMD21 is it? They don't all have a SERCOM5.

Indeed:

Top Tips:

  1. How to properly post source code - see: https://www.avrfreaks.net/comment... - also how to properly include images/pictures
  2. "Garbage" characters on a serial terminal are (almost?) invariably due to wrong baud rate - see: https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/serial-communication
  3. Wrong baud rate is usually due to not running at the speed you thought; check by blinking a LED to see if you get the speed you expected

the SAMD21 is the ATSAMD21E17A. I see that that indeed not all D21 have a SERCOM 5. thank you for the information.
