Hello,

I recently acquired a ATWINC3400-MR210CA extension board for an IOT project. Just wanted to get started by running some of the Example projects provided by Atmel Studio, details given below,

IDE- Atmel Studio 7.0

ASF - 3.48.0.1845

Target Board - SAM4SXPLAINED PRO (ATSAM4SD32C)

Example project - SSL Connect Example

The issue I have is that during initialization , the process fails saying that "No valid Ota image" was found and "HIF message is unsupported". I'm attaching a snapshot of the debug log.

Any ideas on what might be causing this? and suggested fixes?

Thanks in advance...

You can ignore the "No Valid OTA image" message.  This just means there is no backup firmware image.  You are getting the "HIF message is unsupported" message because the firmware in the WINC is out of date.   Follow the procedure in http://ww1.microchip.com/downloa... to update your firmware.
