SAMA5D36 RTC/VBAT Insertion

I am using ATSAMA5D36 xpained board, I tried to mount RTC battery (CR1220) coin cell in the VBAT pin of J14 header

But the battery voltage is draining from 3V to 1V with in a day 

What will be the reason, can anybody help me to solve this,

As my understanding, The battery voltage drop due to the R185, But

I removed the R185 (1.5K) resistor also even though its doping.

The User Guide says this is intended for a supercap - not a battery.

 

If it's expecting a supercap, then it will be expecting to charge it - I don't think that's going to go well with a battery ... ?
