Hello,

I am using atecc508a-mahaw-s in my device. I haven't managed to wake up or communicate with atecc508a over i2c. During communication I always get NACK as response. During wake up , I respect all time requirements needed.

I'm not sure that atecc508a-mahaw-s is used with i2c or single-wire interface, I wasn't able to find answer on web.

I would be grateful if someone had the answer to that question.

My best regards.

Looks like its i2c see https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Microchip-Technology-Atmel/ATECC508A-MAHAW-S?qs=Mv7BduZupUgvcCqosi9gjA%3D%3D

The first thing to check is if the i2c address is 7bit or 8bit addressing. I haven't touch the 508 in about a year. I would have to dig up some of my code examples.

In datasheet of this device it is not said that mahaw-s uses i2c, mahaw-s is not even mentioned anywhere. He uses 7bit adress, if I saw right. I changed the chip I used to mahda-s and chip responded and communicated normally.

I solved the problem, but I don't answer to my question :)

Thank you for replaying.
