Hello to all,
I installed the "driver-atmel-bundle-7.0.712" software, but my Win 7 Pro SP1 did not found the driver, for the "EDBG CMSIS-DAP" debug interface.
Where can I found the right driver for the EDBG?
TIA

Just an update.
I installed the AVR Studio 6.2 sp2, but nothing changed.
I try to uninstall the driver and install it again. Same error again.
Any ideas? :-(
TIA
Clemente
Usually drivers supplied with Atmel Studio just work. I would try to uninstall both drivers and the studio, then only install studio and your system should pickup the driver.

Thank you Alexru, I will try soon.
But what means: I have to have AVR Studio installed if I want to develop with Keil, for example?
Thanks again
Clemente
I have no idea, I never tried standalone driver pack, it might be the same thing and there is something else is wrong and reinstalling the studio will not help.
You should be able to safely uninstall the studio afterwards and the board still should be recognized. There are no real drivers there, it is just an inf file for an HID device.
Hello Alexru,
no way to use it.
I reinstall the AVR Studio, restart the PC, but I have still the problem. The "EDBG CMSIS-DAP" device is not recognized.
I start a manual update of the driver, pointing windows to the "C:\Program Files (x86)\Atmel\Atmel USB Drivers\inf" folder, but with no result.
Actually, inside this folder, a folder like "EDBG CMSIS-DAP" is not present. May be the problem?
TIA
Clemente
Sounds like time to contact Atmel Support ...
Thanks awneil, I will try...
I have same problem , but I still didn't find solution.
MOD: marcossmartvorax, please stop cross posting, or I will start deleting your posts. It does not increase your chances of getting a solution, it does quite the opposite.
Ok, I m sorry
Hi,
i have the same problem (Windows 7 Pro.). I've tried to reinstall Atmel Studio and to install the "Atmel USB drivers" package without success. Any ideas to solve this problem?
Best regards,
Akin
Hi,
I'm in the same situation. :-(. Windows 7 pro and Atmel studio 7.
Regards,
phlb.
Not sure what happens in the latest version of Atmel Studio. I have version 6.2 and I could not get stuff.py script to run.
The problem was that the Avr-GCC 32 bit tool chain needed to be installed.
The installation path is the same that is us for the Avr-gcc 8 bit version.
Hi,
Facing same problem. Trying to connect Atmel SAML21 Xplained pro board to my offline computer having windows 7 pro OS. I have installed latest version of Atmel Studio (as-installer-7.0.1417-full.exe) as well as installed USB driver (driver-atmel-bundle-7.0.712.exe) but still unable to connect as EDBG CMSIS-DAP driver is not found.
Hello all,
I am also facing a similar problem.
Trying to connect Atmel SAM4E Xplained pro board to my computer with windows 7 Home Premium OS and Atmel Studio 7.
The error message after I connect the board to my computer USB and install the driver is "Device driver software was not successfully installed".
Any help? Anyone above was able to solve this problem?
Thank you in advance for any help!
Hello,
I was able to solve my problem.
It was related to a Windows Update failed on my computer (it was not checking for updates).
I was able to fix it and EDBG USB driver was properly installed in my computer.
The curiosy thing is that Atmel Studio installer checked for the Windows Update packages on my computer and didn`t report any problem.
So my advice for who faces the same problem is: Check if Windows Update is really working on you computer (pls see https://www.wintips.org/windows-...) or reinstall Windows.
