ATWINC 1500 Support Needed

I would like to buy ATWINC1500-XSTK starter kit for evaluation and testing the WI-FI WINC 1500 chip to communicate with another Microcontroller, however I can’t find any supporting documents, software and design support for the WINC1500 on your website, I also need to know what comes in the package with the ATWINC1500-XSTK starter kit.

 

I have downloaded Atmel Studio and Atmel-WINC1500-1.0.0.vsix but I am unable to activate it using the Atmel Studio software and I need guidance in doing so.

i am new to using WI-FI technology

Who do you think you are addressing as "you" there?

There is updated and new documentation inside the Atmel Studio WINC1500 version 18 extension. It is within one of the example projects (WINC1500_FIRMWARE_UPDATE_AND_DOCUMENTATION).

You're awesome do you have more documentation for WINC1500 ?

Tried to check the links for WINC1500 here http://asf.atmel.com/docs/latest/api.html but they all seemed broken. Also I can't seem to find the source of the FW for the WINC1500.

Hello

I have found a small bug in the ATWINC1500 driver socket.c

 

- open TCP socket, SOCK 0 is active
- close socket 0

 

when I open the TCP socket again, you see that in the socketi_cb()  the socket is increased by one.

this is because the u8NextTcpSock is a static variable and is not set to 0 when starting this function

 

small change in the code:
